Top 100 Classic Christian Books or Books that Changed Me & My Friends’ Lives

About three weeks ago, I embarked on a rather time-consuming task of compiling a grand list of the best, most classic, most impacting Christian books that I have read, heard about…or my friends have read. Posting a very basic question on Facebook, yielded almost 100 responses and turned out to be ultimately exciting and informative.

While I realize that we barely scratch the surface with a list of 100 books and I also realize that a few are not technically “classic,” I can say with a bit a confidence, that my generation in particular, have been heavily influenced by the godly men, authors and books on this list. Where many of the books were given their final say by yours truly (in all my voluminous wisdom, cough), I can affirm that most of these books were heralded or “voted for” several if not more than a dozen times by those I love and respect the most.

My hope and prayer for my generation and the ones behind me is that we would not forget the way God has worked through many weak and foolish vessels to prove God to be strong and wise. Furthermore, I want to challenge us all as believers to remain teachable in our, to borrow from Tozer, Pursuit of God. I feel that the wealth of inspiration, fuel, strength and wisdom to be had from the books on this list are as immeasurable as the God that inspired them…mostly because they relay biblical truths in many a creative or clarifying way.

May you be blessed and encouraged as you take on the challenge of growing in your faith and walk…for we are not of those who shrink back, but of those who press on.

I would like to say a big “thank you” to like-minded brothers and sisters in ministry, on the mission field, touring in bands, or raising families for Christ. Thank You!

By the way, these are in no particular order.
