Coming off a virtually monolithic experience like this year’s fast, we here at the Tribe of Judah have a lot to process. Although normal Christian processing in and of itself can take the place of actually DOING that which is being prompted of the Lord, let us take a brief reprieve to cover the biggies.
The gross need for more prayer in the Body of Christ.
Morning prayer in solitude; morning prayer as a group. Evening prayer in numbers; awake in the night, warring on the floor…alone. 24-Hour prayer in shifts. Fervent prayer. Praying the Scriptures. Prophecy and the gifts and prayer. Pray, pray, pray, pray always and without a shade of ceasing. Don’t let up when it comes to prayer…for there is a “pressing in” to all of this. The fervent and effective prayers of righteous men and women AVAIL MUCH! If you don’t pray, start. If you don’t pray enough, start praying more. If you pray a lot…please pray for us that we would pray more!
Separateness unto God.
Holy. Consecrated. Set apart for His use. Our lives, thoughts, dreams and desires must be handed over to God to truly be useful. Stop making provision for the flesh. Reorganizing your life is often times an abrupt halt to all that we think is OK. It is simply possible and expected for us us to give our Lord much more. He wants more dead men to reanimate. He wants more soft clay to mold. Please stop fighting for your liberties and rights. Completely surrendered Soldiers of the Cross don’t do that. They just DON’T.
The brazen willingness to go further into the things of the Kingdom, where no flesh is to be permitted.
Fasting and prayer are not the epitome of spiritual service…they are purely boot camp exercises. These practices fit us for the greater warfare. It wasn’t until the core group of our Tribe started fasting, that will realized how much of a spiritual war was going on in the heavenlies. There was, in fact, and shown to us in visions, dreams, and Scripture, a serious attack on us and our church…not to mention the coming revival. In this time, God revealed our lack of deep and engaging prayer and also personal sin issues that were causing us to be de-unified. Pressing further into the fast, God showed us extremely important areas that needed be purified for Him to awaken us still the more.
At this point, the Acts style “cash in all your chips” mentality of communal living and togetherness has been dropped on our plates. Are we going to be willing to forsake all…to bring in the whole tithe…to have ALL things in common for the good of us ALL? Can God have our stuff and our money? Oh Lord, help us be obedient and cheerful givers….
The knowledge that all this is a massive spiritual war.
The fact is, we have NEVER seen the angels vs. demons fighting like they did during this intensely honed spiritual campaign. I guess you just don’t get savvy to your need for air support and artillery until you really NEED them. Well, dug in deep in our trenches this time around, we definitely saw the need to prayer and asking the Lord for angelic backup and covering. We could sense very presently that there were demonic and fallen angelic entities coming against us and our families and they weren’t messing around. For me, and many of us, this isn’t a topic to be toiled with or engaged lightly. War is serious. God is serious. And so is the devil.
In the end, I think that this 21-Day fast taught us about and brought to the next level, so to speak. Jesus asks for more and more the closer we get to Him. It is both invigorating and sobering to know that we have turned a corner and entered into a full-time war for souls and revival. I hope and pray that these findings and lessons can encourage you, dear reader, to step into the Spirit-Filled life and do some damage for the Lord.
Here’s to the Good Fight!
