I think demons hate worship. And seeing as how we have been facing a lot of spiritual warfare…it was good to have a little (or, in this case a lot) of war-ship. You know, that kind of worship that is Spirit-filled, sincere, and has a tinge of the prophetic. The kind that can be interrupted from heaven, that is OK with tongues, and allows for prayers perforating the sometimes-not-sung-right hymn and spiritual song. But, the crazy thing is, is that there is a divine and other-worldly flow to it…it has order…like it has a Director. Which it does.
War-ship can keep going and going and then stop…and then keep going. It doesn’t have to follow a pattern and goes great with a healthy side of humility and fasting. It is the continued living sacrifice wrought by a lifestyle of honor and praise for the God of the Scriptures. It is the evening sacrifice to be coupled with the morning; it is all day, everyday–hopefully–and lasts all week.
This brand of singing unto the Lord doesn’t put up with itself being exalted.
War-ship is a vehicle, not a destination. And, by the way, this vehicle is like a holy monster truck that can run over Satan like an old Yugo. That is one, possible analogy….
A little Be Thou My Vision…a little Enter the Worship Circle and Lord I Want More of You…a little It is Well…some cries, some excitement. Then there was laughter and joy afterwards. So good. He is so good….
Rejoice in the Lord always, again I say REJOICE!
