The Ezra/Nehemiah Prayer

Oh my God…I am now stirred to prayer because so much of the House of God and the walls that should surround it in this generation and the immediate area we live in are broken down and the gates are burned. Jesus, it is mournful that there are so many structures that we see in the physical that look good, but inwardly they are rubble and dead man’s bones. I recognize, hereby, that a reconstruction in probably more difficult than a construction…but God let Your ears and eyes be attentive to our great, great need for awakening and REVIVAL. I know your Bride is given to such filth and lust and pride and idolatry, but please heal our backslidings. But You are filled with grace and mercy and You have brought Your Holy Spirit to a shot-out generation before…one caught in debauchery and the games of the devil.

Bring us back, oh Bright Morning Star. Turn our eyes from falsity unto a pure worship. You have said that You will turn towards us when we turn towards You. And Lord, I beseech Thee, be all the more attentive to those who desire to fear Your Name and prosper Thy servants in Iron River this day. Oh, and let us rebuild…this grand undertaking, this headquarters of pulsing Spirit and Revival life. Plant many freedom fighters here Jesus, many mighty men and women of valor. Rebuild this burnt out and bedraggled remnant of soldiers and raise us up a fortified wilderness outpost and a strong city of refuge. In the strength that is in You and only from You and by the Power of Your Spirit, reestablish the sacrifices of our lips; bring us to the altar. Make us clean. Reinstate the feasts and times of jubilee in our lives…raise up a royal priesthood HERE, Lord I pray. Spoil kings and unbelievers to rebuild all that You want here. Fund masons, carpenters, and renovators with gold and silver. Provide, God I plead, for this colossal project. Bring vehicles and materials and resources and books and people, and people and people…fill us up to overflowing. Grow us so very much. Let us establish gardens and church plants and bands and book stores and coffee shops and trading posts and recording studios and missionary journeys and many, many other endeavors too numerous to envision.

And accomplish all this Lord in Your time, but I ask again that it would be soon and very soon. My mind it set only to this cause; I cannot keep from making this my SOUL’S aim. I can’t cease from this prayer being my overriding prayer. Build. Raise up. Erect an army, gallant and brave. Save this crooked generation, especially the young people. Gather us together in this unlikely, northern outpost…by Thy Power and Thy Word. Amen.

About BrindleTribe

Before we became the Brindle Tribe, my soon-to-be husband and I formed our own motto: "Always an Adventure" we said in Ukraine on a neighborhood playground as we both came to the understanding that we were destined for each other. Three babies, a coffee shop, a school, and a bus later, the motto still lasts "Always an Adventure."
